“Told you at some point you’d soften up to me, mom.”
And so, the group prepared for the next part of their bus ride.. Tiffany was still apologising to Fab for making him look like a frizzy poodle in a dog show, But by the time he sat back down and Tiffany pulled out her hairdryer from her suitcase; His discomfort was quickly softened into excitement.. “Okay, Hold still, Kiddo.” Tiffany says as she plugs the dryer into the one outlet on the bus.. She turns on the hair dryer, while Fab slips out of the robe, discarded it to the side.. He watches as Tiffany gives him a kind smile before wiping the excess water off his face with gentle strokes. Julian allowed himself to take in the relaxed expression Fab made. However, he paused when Fab shivered slightly, despite the heat of the hairdryer warming him up.. He signals Tiffany to turn it off. “Hey, What’s the matter? Fab’s just gonna be a minute!” “Yeah, yeah.. I know.. It’s just.. Fab’s lips are turning blue. ” Julian spoke with some concern.
“Oh? Do you look at Fab’s lips often?” Nick sounded from nearby, a playful tease behind his words. Julian chuckled lightly before he started to wrap a towel around Fab’s hair, His hands gently massaging up the small boy’s neck to gather bits of curls that were stuck to the skin. “I’d be lying if I said I didn’t.” “Ju!” Fab chuckled at his husband’s statement, slightly edging towards Tiffany.. “Just give me a few minutes and I’ll let you play with my hair, okay?” “Works for me.” Julian responded with a smirk, leaning back in his seat. “That’s not the only thing Jules wants to touch!” Nick chuckled, throwing another joke out into the open.. “Nick!” Tiffany stammered.. “I.. - You know what.. That actually was funny!”
“Told you at some point you’d soften up to me, mom.”
“Yeah, We’ll see about that, Mister.”
Somewhere, Back in New York:
There was nothing special about sitting in a cafe on a rainy day.. But the attention from humans was something RX thrived on.. He presumed they considered him a rare breed, He was definitely a looker in his eyes; with the medium length black hair and baby blue eyes, the full lips on that chiselled jawline. He always roamed around in a black jacket with a black white and black jeans, but today was different. It was more casual, he had a black sweatshirt and blue jeans… The waitress who’d seen him a handful of times now, smoothed out her black apron as she made her way to the table, a big smile on her face. “Hello hun, it’s good to see you again!” She beams as cheerfully as she. “How’s everything?”
His whole demeanour seemed to relax at the sight of being noticed by someone other than the demons, a small smirk formed on his lips.. “Not horrible,” He replied in a low voice. “What can I get for you to drink by the way?” “Water is fine, babe, thanks.” - “Make that two waters.” Thunder clapped from the outside as Jane made her way inside.. “Finally! I was wondering when you’d hall your ass over here..” The devil tutted.. “Have you figured out why those boys haven’t been returning my calls..” “They’ve gone.” Jane responded.. “Gone?! Gone where?! And why?!” “They left this morning in a bus.. I believe they are heading off to perform somewhere..” “Those mother fuckers.” The devil hissed.. “Right, Jane, Leave the money on the table.. We need to find out where they’re going and stat!” “Way ahead of you..” Jane says, pulling a technical device from her pocket, she opens up an image which shows a poster for the concert.. “They're heading on tour..”
“Hmm.. Well, I’m not travelling in the dark.” Rx tutted . “We’ll pack tonight and leave tomorrow, okay?” “You got it, boss!”
The pair got home, RX flopping down onto his bed while Jane and some of the last remaining demons began packing all the clothes and equipment they’d need, including disguises, weapons and arson.. The devil just watches him work as he lounges on top of the bed in a koi, over dramatic pose like always.. He has a packet of cigarettes in one hand, a lighter in the other.. He didn’t know why he even picked up the bad habit in the first place, he only resorted to it when he felt like the alternative was to unleash a wave of stifled rage and stress. But tonight, he wanted to do it for enjoyment, wanted the calming effects as he continued to gradually come down from the ecstasy high.
Standing with his back against the wall near the open window, the moonlight pouring in and gentle breeze cooling his sweat-sheened skin, RX exhaled a cloud of smoke and surveyed the little group from afar. He smiled for his legs, partly dangled over the end of the end of the bed due to his height. His feet remain on the bed, while the rest of his body leans upon the window.. Part of Jane worried her devil’s lust for chaos would return in order to keep himself occupied, replacing their relationship or pursuing a reign of terror. The boost to the his power level was staggering, leaving him far stronger and far more dangerous than many had anticipated. It showed in their training sessions, just how much more powerful te devil had become over the last few weeks..
He sighed and closed his eyes. There was no denying he had genuinely come to love Jane’s company, and not merely for sexual release. Jane reignited the spark within him that he’d lost long ago, to maintain a level of physicality to protect everything he held dear. When RX at last stood up, he sauntered to the bed and sat on the edge. He smirked, extinguished what little remained of the cigarette and put it out on his hand.. Tomorrow he’d be going on vacation, and tomorrow was the destination to the group’s idea of hell..
